Our classes are designed to encourage development in movement skills, while increasing agility, strength and flexibility. Brilliant for body awareness and self confidence. Participants develop and enhance listening, thinking and social skills.

Gym Facility Status:   OPEN
Olympia Gymnastic Sports facility is open for all classes after receiving approval from the Christchurch City Council to remain open and operational.

Please check the website in the event of an emergency for a facility update.
Gym facilities are currently fully operational.

TERM 2 2017
Competitive: Monday 1st May - Sunday 9th July 2017
Recreation: Monday 1st May – Saturday 1st July 2017

Term 2 gym closures are:
  • Queen's Birthday (Monday 5th June)
  • Saturday 13th May and Saturday 24th June (due to in-house competitions at the club)
NB: Saturday classes still run on Queen's Birthday weekend
NB: extra session Monday 3rd July due to Queen's Birthday public holiday
NB: Saturday classes have an 8 week term due to gym closures and only one extra session on Saturday 8th July

TERM 3 2017
Competitive: Monday 24th July - Sunday 1st October 2017
Recreation: Monday 24th July  – Saturday 23rd September 2017

TERM 4 2017
Competitive: Monday 16th October - Friday 22nd December 2017
Recreation: Monday 16th October - Saturday 16th December 2017

Term 4 gym closures are Labour Day Day (Monday 23rd October) and Show Day (Friday 17th November)

CANTERBURY TRAMPOLINE, DMT & TUMBLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017
Congratulations to our Trampoline and Artistic gymnasts who competed recently in the 2017 Canterbury Trampoline, DMT and Tumbling Championships (Superbounce) on 4-5 March. Olympia was very successful bringing home home 15 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze placings; and the International and Age Grade Team Championship trophies.

2017 NEXIA NEW ZEALAND CANTERBURY SPORTS AWARDS
The annual Nexia New Zealand Canterbury Sports Awards celebrate sporting excellence across all codes in recognition of the amazing sporting achievements of our Region's top athletes. This year's awards attracted an impressive field of 126 nominations across 29 sporting codes. Olympia was named as the Gymsports finalist in three categories and trophies for these were received on the awards night held at the Wigram Airforce Museum on Friday 3 March:

  • Gymsports Junior Team of the Year - Level 5 MAG Canterbury Team
  • Young Gymsports Sportswoman of the Year - Madaline Davidson (Senior International Trampoline)
