$3720 towards the Commonwealth Games Athletes Fees. (August 2010)

Christchurch City Council Discretionary Fund

$15000 towards Professional Fees for the Building Extension. (August 2010)

Perry Foundation & Christchurch City Council

$2000 each for the purchase of a new Crank Beam. (June 2010)

$2000 for the Rhythmic Competition venue hire. (March 2010)

Lion Foundation

$3000 for Heating and Lighting in the Ballet Room. (Jan 2010)

$6000 towards a new photocopier/printer. (Jan 2010)

Olympia Gymnastic Sports is the amalgamation of three Canterbury clubs: Avon City Gymnastics, Kudos Rhythmic Academy and Aerials Trampoline. Planning for the amalgamation commenced in January 2000 and culminated in the move into the Wigram Gymnasium on 1 st July 2003 .

Olympia Gymnastic Sports is a new breed of gymnastics club in that it combines coaching expertise from four different types of gymnastic sports (women's artistic gymnastics, men's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic sportive gymnastics and trampolining) In Addition Olympia offers a wide variety of recreational and adult programmes. We currently have approximately 450 athletes training with us and are continually expanding.

Olympia Gymnastic Sports' objective is to promote excellence in gymnastics sports, with coaches focused on the fostering of highly successful athletes whilst still retaining a safe, positive environment and offering opportunities for participants at all levels.
